'Take Care of Maya' verdict: Maya Kowalski reacts #shorts

A jury found Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital liable for extensive damages in the $220 million medical malpractice lawsuit levied against it by a Venice family at the center of the Netflix documentary "Take Care of Maya."

Maya Kowalski broke down in tears as the verdict was read Thursday afternoon in a Sarasota County courtroom. The jury awarded millions of dollars in damages, with the exact amount to be determined.

They should also sue the doctors/ nurses n other professionals who supported in such acts they should loose their license to practice, shouldn’t have those privileges.

That is despicable I can’t believe people have to go through that !!!
I feel some kinda way when I go to the hospital even when is an emergency and my doctor tells me to go I already know they’re not gonna help me at all !! I hate how the system works ! But I’m glad that Maya and her family got the justice that they need and so deserve bcz many families weren’t allowed to get that bcz of a piece of paper it’s crazy dude !!! I’m sorry for your loss your mom should still be here and I know the pain believe me when I tell you

She couldn't get the help from this children's hospital and she'll have to spend the rest of her life recuperating and getting therapy.... And more than likely that money would be spent her on medical expenses, lawyer fees, and trying to get back to daily living....
There medical problems and lawyer fees would end up eating most of that up.... And people think that it's all about money when they were fighting to get her help for years... and with the rising costs of inflation, thats a drop in a bucket when you have a young person with extreme medical care....

I watched this movie & I can’t believe how the hospital treated the mother. When your child is sick a mother wants to be present to hold her support her & love her esp for the child not be scared or get worse yet the hosp treated them like prisoners. The mother’s love was so desperate to see her that they wouldn’t allow her that she killed herself. I cried throughout this movie & im glad they sue the hosp for the horrible conditions. We believe that nurses & dr’s are our saviours & help us in times of need, but god do they much some horrible mistakes. Your instincts tell you what to do. So listen to them but this mum didn’t get the chance.

It's also sad that at the end of the documentary one guy said his dad has been in jail for 26 years. I forget exactly why but it was sad all the families that also got falsely accused.

I sympathize with this poor girl, explaining to people what crps just is not possible, and this poor darling had to deal with this without the support of the one person she needed the most, im so terribly Sorry 😢, my heart breaks for you and your family!!

Omg I balled my eyes out watching this it' breaks my heart ❤️ my daughter just got taken away there was no drugs no weapons in my home but weed they took over weed I can't be alone with her she has autism and she has a feeding tube I kept her alive for all her little years she 3 January 1 and they took her 💔 she is so hurt im hurt I felt this mom pain and this little Mya 💔 pain
