I'm shocked that Bob is using the old ABC and d first of all no where in the bible does it say to admit you are a sinner, of course we have understand we are sinners or else there is no purpose behind wanting to be saved. Then he says believe, he has that one correct. Then he says confess that Jesus is my Lord and savior, WRONG, we are to confess that Jesus is THE CHRIST, in other words confess ( agree with God) that Jesus is the One sent by God to save us. Then bob says demonstrate our allegiance. In this he says repent and be baptized but he does a poor job of explaining both. Now don't get me wrong I'm not claiming to know more than Bob, I just believe he is watering down the Gospel . Repentance does not mean to turn. It means to change our minds, specifically about our sin. Now it is true that when we change our minds it should cause us to turn away from our sin but it is imperative that we understand that we cannot and will not turn from our Sin if we don't change our minds 1st. Next Bob does a poor job of explaining baptism. When we are baptized, we are being baptized into Christ and it is at that point in time WHEN God forgives us and gives us the Holy Spirit. Now I know Bob fans will defend him but I urge anyone reading this to understand that there is no good reason to think we need to be able to explain the gospel in 4 minutes . It is too important to cheapen it that way. This is eternal life and eternal death we are talking about. Come on Bob, you can do better!!!
