The Gospel Explained In Under 4 Minutes

You can follow every rule and law that God sets, but if you don't know what the gospel is and place your faith in Jesus then none of that matters. That's why today I wanted to summarize the gospel in under 4 minutes.

Just to clear some things up as there was some confusion as to what I was talking about when referring to Repentance/Salvation.

We are not saved by good works. We are saved from Jesus's sacrifice. Our salvation isn't determined by works because if they were any time we sin we would instantly lose salvation, meaning that we would have to be perfect which of course isn't possible. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean we shouldn't make attempts to avoid sin. If I said I believed in God, but then didn't change how I lived at all (meaning I continued to sin without care) that would be an indicator that although I said I believe in God, that would show that I don't believe in God as I would want to serve, worship and glorify him as much as possible, if I in fact did believe and trust him.

I already know, just because I am saved by Jesus from my sins, it doesn't mean I am justified in committing any other sin. It's like saying I've been given a second chance at life after coming out of prison, with the opportunity to be a better person. However, instead of choosing the right path, I foolishly go back to a life of crime and end up back in jail, facing an even worse punishment or a longer sentence this time.

This is a great video but two things that I think could improve would be listing the Ten Commandments at 1:15 for it to be thorough so it can stand out more, and the other thing I wanted to point out is that following God is not a religion, it's a relationship with our heavenly Father. He died on the cross for our past, present, and future sins for he loved us that much. That's why praying and taking time to have a silent moment to listen to God is so important. Great video! One question I have in my mind since many years I never asked a priest and/or theologist is: If a person is born in a time and place where he never even HEARD about christianity, (for example; a tribe in a jungle) but still lives on as a good human in is heart and soul, will he be saved? Good video but I think there needs to be more on what actually IS repentance. Acts dont save but repentance is an act. Faith might not be an act but it is a measurement, how much faith is enough? Then of course we can get into people who never heard of or or cant understand Jesus via disabilities, are they not saved?
My viewpoint is this: Jesus has saved all but accepting him will look vastly different depending on the person's denomination, religion, spirituality or even lack of.

Your "Why avoid sin" segment was the only thing that's incorrect. You said, "It would signal that we haven't truly had a change of heart or mind through repentance." So basically, you are saying that your good works save you? Come on, don't say it's a free gift and then backslide to "we haven't truly had a change of heart." Once you are saved by Jesus, you always will be. Listen brothers and sisters, you are saved by belief in Jesus Christ. If you continue to sin, God will punish you on earth since he chastises his own children (we're children of God when we believe), but he will never let us go. You get everlasting life through belief, not by maintaing your good works (changed lifestyle, turning from sins, etc.). Do not be deceived my brethren. Let no one tell you that you aren't saved, because once you believe in Jesus, you are. Rest easy my friends.
