After 44 yrs of altering her voice, and to hear it now definitely sounds like a struggle. I hate to say it, but I think she should just bow out on a higher note more so than a lower note. She has literally dedicate her life to Marge since like around age 28, bless her soul. 😢I'd love for her to carry on, but i use to do lots of voices myself high pitch and deep, as we age it begins to hurt some people's voice box to a degree. I know it did for me, and I aint even close to her level. There are tons of Great voice acting impersonators out there, let them carry on and maybe have her come back for a final episode, maybe even to break an obvious fourth wall about it. 😊 Respect goes out to the writers and cast for making making the Simpsons a definite Testament to the best times of pop culture well pass 4 Decades of Television. 👏

Wow…her voice is horrible now. Poor Julie Kavner, she deserves to retire but the show will never end or let her.

This is also partly due to the show insisting on clear crisp modern audio. Her voice sounded much better on the older recording technology.

It’s not just her voice though, her character has completely changed too and Julie Kavner honestly doesn’t seem to be as talented in her old age. Some of her lines sound like they were said in the wrong tone… possibly has something to do with poor scriptwriting and bad direction

I heard about this but thought people were just nitpicking, but its actually pretty painful to hear and a little sad. If it doesn't hurt her to do it she can continue. But they should consider a replacement

Season 27 is the last one where she could hide the vocal chord damage she sustained from "The Simpsons Movie"

Many of the voices have changed to some degree, but Marge has had the biggest change. Somehow, Lisa sounds pretty much exactly the same.
