I have been watching behind the scenes videos of the voice cast of The Simpsons or interviews with The Simpsons voice cast and most of The Simpsons cast does there voice acting on public television but Julie Kavner who does the voice of Marge Simpson Marge’s Sisters-Patty & Selma and Marge’s entire family does not want to do a Marge Simpson voice in public so after years of finding Julie Kavner Interviews on YouTube I finally found a brief YouTube video that Julie Kavner can finally do a Marge Simpson voice without showing her face and this is the very closest to a Marge Simpson voice from Julie Kavner on public television that we can get just pretty much like how Julie Kavner does the voice of Marge Simpson at a voice recording studio

I totally love that she turned around, despite Dave leaning on her. That's true dedication to Marge, and great respect for fans of the show.

I get where she’s coming from, a lot of voice actors hold a ideal image in the minds of viewers, then when they see the actor or actress they can’t unsee it, but at the end of the day, without a voice there is no character, so I approve of seeing the talent!

To be honest, she actually already sounds a lot like Marge.

That was actually sweet that she turned her back to the audience to do it so that we wouldn't see that that made a lot of sense

I have a lot of respect for her doing this with her back turned. Even Dave had to begrudgingly applaud.

I loved her turning around to do the voice. Lovely bit of dedication. The day I met Hank Azaria, it was after a production of Spamalot. I was waiting by the stage door with dozens of others, and he was one of the first to come out. Not only did the man stay until he was positive he had signed absolutely everything put in front of him, but people kept shouting Simpsons characters at him, and he would do the voices. Usually *while* autographing something. So I thought that was really sweet and special in its own way. Didn’t break any illusions for me. Just gave me a really special memory I’ll carry for a lifetime. Really sweet man, that Hank Azaria.

Her natural voice is amazing. Very unique.

wow, just wow.... so much respect. I always felt this dissapointment or disenchantment when some of voice actors showed their face while performing their character. She knew that, she understanded the magic. And she kept the boundary, while still giving something to the crowd :)

I like how Letterman says on with it and she kept her word by turning her back and doing the iconic voice..bravo..!!!!

I heard an interview with Yeardley Smith a couple of months ago and she said the producers discouraged the voice actors from doing interviews for the first few years of the series because they didn't want to ruin the illusion.

As much as I enjoy seeing voice actors perform their voices, I really respect Julie for sticking to her principals about destroying the illusion.

I can't believe she's 71 now and still working! It'll be an end to an era when the original voices of Marge and Homer can no longer do it 😥

Great how she turns her head to do Marge’s voice. Thanks, Julie.

I get it. She respects her work and character. And that makes her a shiny star.

She makes so much sense. It's amazing to see the perspective of an artist. She's right, seeing that voice cone out of her face would ruin the illusion in all of us for sure. She's amazing.

And then you’ve got Nancy Cartwright who does her Bart voice and then puts on her best Heisenberg/Walter White impression telling them to “Say my name” 😂 🤣

She notoriously refuses to do that voice in public so it's cool that Dave got her to do it. And I love that she turned around.

Aw I forgot how much I loved Marge. She's gotta be one of the cutest, most lovable female cartoon characters on tv

Yeah! This is so cool. I remember her as Rhoda Morganstern's sister on the TV show Rhoda. She has class!!
