You can tell this cop is extremely respectful and extremely caring about the kids. He doesn’t yell at anyone for this, he pushes kids out of the way but isn’t overly aggressive, once the kids calm he uncuffs him, amazing cop, we need more like him.

For those who will think the cop is wrong for putting him on the ground: 1. It takes control away from the kid so they cant move and create problems, and 2. Taking that control away shows the kid they have zero power against the officer. This cop was calm and respectful and did a good job

I retired from this police department in December 2013. I had a great career close to 20 years with them and prior to them I served with another local police department for over 1 year and 4 months. I have the utmost respect for CCSDPD.

That kid went from raging to totally calm and submissive the moment he realized a cop was on top of him. That was kind of funny.

I had like 3 cops in my HS. They were pretty chill and most of the kids liked them. Much more friendly than the principals/administrators. Never saw them throw anyone down but they definitely put kids in cuffs after fights. One of them was supposedly a track star before they were a cop so everyone joked not to run from them lol

My school resource officer was one of the best influences in my life. He played basketball with us bad kids after school, if you missed the bus he would come pick you up. He was an all around good impression on kids who are leary about police.

For those people who like to complain about officers in schools arresting kids, let's just say that if they weren't there because you want to argue about them using authority, these kids will just continue killing each other. I feel there's another group of idiots out there who will protest against cops in schools without thinking of the outcome. This officer was very calm and collective, it's just sad that not everyone can see the reasons why there are cops in schools. If you follow history, you will see the changes people made by protesting against certain things being banned in public schools and one thing led to another.

This cop is truly admirable. You can have situations like this without arresting people and this cop proved it. He just might be the best cop ever.
