This is awesome because my Spanish teacher used to be close partners with Tony Hawk! He was a play tester for the old Tony Hawk games, has tons of pics with him, and had three of Tony’s skateboards that Tony gifted to him in his classroom!

Its kinda interesting that Anthony and Tony are kind of similar in the sense that they both were pioneers of bringing something that was considered a bit of a "fad" into the mainstream and make it a genuinely monitizable career.

I know we talk about how he’s a legend and maybe in turn, talking about how human he is for all of it. What’s more special is that he was able to make a paradigm shift in how we perceived skateboarding and took it all in stride, saying “there’s something special about having that connection.” Tony Hawk is a golden Inspiration and a living legend who made a genuine positive impact in the world, now that’s something.
