Interview tip: when coming up with questions to ask the person interviewing you, put yourself in their shoes and think about what you would want to be asked if it was your business you were hiring for.
A great question is: Can you tell me a little bit about your company culture from an internal perspective?
Also, be confident! Using good deep breathing techniques while you are waiting to be interviewed or driving to your interview can help nerves tremendously! Speaking of which, don’t be nervous! Like Nikki says, you are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you. This is a partnership that you would be a very valuable part of. Think of it as such.

Nikki, you don’t know how much this series helps OMFG. I’m current a High School senior trying to get a job. Plus I’m submitting my resumes to colleges and I’ve been really nervous because I don’t have a bunch of stuff or anything “elite” due to my situation. You don’t know how MUCH this helps and how the timing is literally PERFECT thank you sm xoxo

Hi! 😘 I am 37 and like you, I’ve worked in the office is my entire life. I’ve worked for attorneys, I had an internship at my state house, and now I’m working in an executive position. I actually love it! I work in an industry that is predominantly male, and there is basically no office drama to speak of! Ladies, there is nothing wrong with enjoying office work! Nikki is giving solid advice, so take heed! Love to all!

I love how Nikki teaches us most of the important things that school doesn't 😊

Tip 1: Spell check
Tip 2: Keep your resume simple
Tip 3: The more conservative the industry the more conservative the resume
Tip 4: Your font and font size are important
Tip 5: List out the skills you already have
Tip 6: If you have little to no work experience, List volunteer efforts, fundraisers, club involvement, babysitting, etc.

My biggest tip when it comes to resumes it keep it outcome based! Add numbers, show the impact you had, and BE CONFIDENT!! This was a good vid! ❤

You posted this at the perfect time I'm fresh out high school and long story short has been the worst month for me and I'm trying this online school stuff and im struggling to keep up and I'm home all the time and instead of a JOB JOB I'm looking for an internship or anything that deals with my major and I needed to update my resume and thanks boo perfect timing!!!

Like Nikki said, spell check is so important! I graduated college in 2016 and I was in one of my first big girl job interviews following graduation where I was told I didn’t have the experience they were looking for, but they called me in for an interview because there wasn’t a single spelling or grammar error in my entire dossier. Nikki was so right to put this as the first point in this video because arguably, it’s the most important. You never get a second chance to make another first impression.

I really appreciate this series you're doing, Nikki! 🥺 I graduated from college last December and my job search process (PT technician) has been so discouraging because everyone wants to hire people with experience but I'm trying to GAIN experience before physical therapy school.

I've watched countless resume videos last year for high school but today as a graduate, I had to do a resume for a tech job, and the first person I thought about watching was you because I remembered that you uploaded this video. It was so easy to understand and my resume ended up being well put together! Thank you
