I'm sorry but in the Chinese mind set, this is wayyy beyond trade or economic issues. As you might have known, Chinese people are patriotic, nationalistic, and family centric, this event unfortunately step on all of those pressure points, it's difficult to overstate the anger and frankly humiliation felt by even ordinary Chinese citizens over this issue. I must give kudos to the Americans who came up with this plan, one stone, so many birds... I sincerely hope that this issue can be resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.

I can think of Huawei closing 2 of it's offices in Ottawa and Markham thus putting Canadians of work without any severance. And Canada forget trying to get oil out to China. Alberta will continue to suffer. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Hold on Canada, it's going to be a tough ride.
