Our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.

As an African man that grew up in Africa and now living in the West, I couldn't make sense of WHY there was such a stark difference in inequality. I noticed people don't work any harder and are not any smarter in the western country I live in, yet they get to enjoy materially better standards of living? As I've gotten older I've come to realise and understand it a bit more. This video was excellent work.

Not only is the US military budget larger than that of the next 9 countries combined, US military spending is woefully inefficient and wasteful. It costs far, far too much to build and maintain US warships and US warplanes. It costs far, far too much to support wars in Ukraine, Gaza, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.
