Turkish TV Exports Set to Top $1 Billion by 2023

Turkey’s drama industry is seeing an unprecedented popularity in the international market and its exports are multiplying. From modest TV exports totalling $100,000 in 2008, the industry crossed the $500-million mark in 2020, making Turkey the world’s second-largest exporter of TV content. Only the US has more TV exports than Turkey. With 25 percent share of all the imported shows around the world, Turkish production companies are expecting to top $1 billion in global sales by 2023.

I love Turkish series because of the beautiful way they film their series. Like it almost has an old Hollywood type of filming style which is classic, classy and charming. Also I like to slow pacing...it takes you a lot of time to finish a Turkish tv series because they really make you fall in love with the characters and take their time introducing the story of a character. I love that a lot.

I agree with Meryem 💯 on everything she said. I’m watching from Los Angeles. If the Turkish series adapts to the western style, they will definitely lose its value and viewers. All though I also agree that they spend too much on one scene and often times it’s too slow. But I definitely prefer the Turkish shows over the American.

Yes from watching Indian movies for over 40 years in east Africa I m from Somalia back in the 1980 till 2014. We watched Bollywood then Bollywood start to act like Hollywood naked sex. And. Muslim. Families don t like that so we happy wit Turkish. Movies bravo turki 1B. Export. That is sweet
