In the 1970s i had a marxist prof. We were polar opposites in philosophies. He and I had incredible discussions and very civil public arguments. Nonetheless, he gave proper credit for my work and respected my arguments. I got an A. Respect, I guess that is the difference between then and now.

Sue the professor and the school. Get their accreditation revoked. Once that happens, they lose all federal funds.

That professor should be fired. My daughter and her friends went through same crap in high school. Fortunately, one of her friends who was being down graded by the teacher worked in administration. She took her sons paper to another teacher and had it graded, without that teacher knowing who it or the other papers. That teacher graded the papers as “A’s.” Then confrontation began, and the teacher eventually got into trouble.

In my English 101 class at SIU in 2010 I was told I had to write a persuasive essay about why it's sexist that we don't expect men to wear dresses. When I politely & privately asked to choose any other topic or viewpoint because it violated my religios beliefs, the prof told me that I would fail if I didn't get in line. Shamefully I wrote the paper, this still haunts my conscience frequently although I have repented to Jesus for my cowardice in that moment.
