Im white and was bullied by my own kind constantly in High school. Then a black young man befriended me. Then the whole basketball team who was mostly black, invited me to sit with them in the cafeteria for lunch everyday. I was never bothered again. They were the greatest friends I ever had.

I am a white guy who grew up in Blythewood, SC and my school had quite a lot of black people there more so than white, at least at the tim, and I swear I was constantly bullied by any other white guy there. I made friends easily with anyone who wasn’t white and man the people I was friends with saved me multiple times from getting beat up or bullied. I had to move away from there and once I did I moved to a place where I learned to fight on my own. I then befriended this group of black guys in a mostly white area and I helped do the same for them. Several of them went their own ways but the ones that stayed we are still great friends today. Gotta respect this.
