Nimona definitely has the control to not transform into pink or have one pink thing in the transformations.
Things like the streak or the eyes are there because Nimona just likes to.
I mean, who is gonna tell her "Noooo, you cannot transform into a *pink* whale!"?

One thing i noticed in the movie is after the fight with the other knights when Nimona turned into her past self, the cloths also changed...if they also changed then the clothes may or may not be apart of her body, yall can decide what to do with that info😭
