ABSOLUTELY!!! had one instaed on my mc trike. To many times cars tried to cut me off. Horn got the point across. Husband had one on his mc. He loved it. Horn saved our lives many times. ❤

52 years ago, Francis Elk, my driving instructor taught us that the sole purpose of a vehicle horn was to alert other drivers of your presence. Yes, a train horn would work very well to alert distracted drivers.

My old Chevy Cavalier had a truck horn. The best thing about that car is that when you opened the hood, it looked like a trumpet was welded to the side

When I was in high school, there was this girl on the colorguard (i was in guard and band) whos dad had the train horn on his lifted F150. He would go outside and honk that sucker on game nights for our marching show and the whole stadium could hear it echo 😂 We all loved it. Never heard him use it naturally around town though, lucky for other drivers 😅

A coworker of mine from the Railroad did this. It was a Union Pacific style horn. It was awesome. You could actually feel the air being displaced as he blew it.

Funniest thing is that this guy had a boat horn installed on a miata which is very useful since miata's are so small and can be overlooked in traffic

Normal horns do this for most people but bad drivers are so used to that sound as part of the natural ambience of the road
