I honestly wish Mukluk would review more games after watching this video. This was both entertaining and a very honest, straightforward review. I wish more reviewers made videos like this one since most either talk up or talk down the game in question just by the tone in their voice.

If you are interested in another fishing game, you might want to give Dave the Diver a look. Although IIRC the game isn't finished yet.

BTW I've done most things in Nier: Automata. You missed out on quite a few sidequests and information and 2 out of 3 pods which can be quite fun to use.
Although the upgrade process for the pods is... not ideal. You get most of the materials by doing quests but some are very limited. For example one part of the first upgrade you get exactly 3 (for 3 pods) unless you don't finish a quest and repeat it after finishing the game. For the second upgrade there is a similar item but you "only" need to repeat the hacking tower. And then for the third one the similar item is incredibly easy to farm because it drops from and optional boss that you want to do a few times for getting to level 99 anyways.
The kicker was one item needed that's only available in a limited quantity and to get enough I had to either encounter 95% of all enemies (this includes certain quest NPCs and you only get the entry after doing the quest) or beating 40 hacking mini games in a row in the training mode. I only had around 20 available and I think I've been clear how much I like them so finding and killing some rare enemies it was.
The DLC is pretty good. It gives you a few new outfits and when they call one of them "Revealing Outfit" they mean it. Although I prefer the skirtless option. Matter of taste.
The S rank objectives are pretty rough though and I haven't beaten them yet. The first dungeon is like the Jackass quests and the last one asks you to kill a lot of enemies in a very short time. The second one you have to use a hijacked machine for some pretty tough battles. And the third one is basically a boss rush. Of course their level is higher than yours because there's a level cap. Oh yeah, no items allowed in any of them because thay would be "too easy".

I loved this game. Indie titles are usually the best when they hit that sweet spot. Dredge was not a let down either.

I just bought this for my PS4 after watching a random video from another channel when they were talking about early candidates for GOTY and this came up. Nearly upgraded my ship to the max and I'm really enjoying the game and the atmosphere it provides. If you liked Stardew Valley you'll probably enjoy this too!!!

Forst time viewer and i jist wanna say thank you for such a great review! Im only checkin out this game since i discovered something i never thought i would enjoy which goes by the title " dave the diver " absolute gem of a game and they had a free dlc content added thay includes dredge and thats how i first learned about it. This will be the next gake i play once im satisfied withbmy playthrough of dave the diver. If you havent checked it out. Please do! See you around.

So it’s a stern trawler (used as) that makes fishing reel noises and looks more like a very small tug which, theoretically, you use it to “dredge” … do you actually dredge or is it all fishing and dredge doesn’t really mean anything? Nice review tho, thanks.

8 hours for 25 bucks. Nahh. If it was an open world fishing game which worked similarly as an MMO, then i'd consider it.
