I've been considering teaching myself electric guitar, and I'm pretty confident with the power in my pointer and middle fretting fingers, but I guarantee that my ring and pinky fingers are going to fuck me up for awhile and those are the ones I need to work on. I feel that I have little to no dexterity or power in them. I can move them and all, but it's at a much slower pace than my other two fingers

After watching these series of videos I've learned that I've been playing wrong for the last 25 years. I never learned the correct techniques, and I never did exercises. I just tried to play whatever I heard as fast as I could thinking that it'll eventually happen over time. It never happened and now I have a ton of bad habits and can't play any fast songs. Depressing.
