Very good comparioson. I've used the SW-Sherwood Kem-Aqua Plus before just to test it under my shop conditions and loved how it performed in application to its solvent based brother (SW Sherwood Hi-Bild Precat). About 10-12 years ago I was using a product from Van Technologies and had a client call me wanting to know how to remove a sharpie marker from his cabinets that I had finished for him a week before. I called the mfg, and they said to use acetone. Low and behold it did not affect the finish at all. I learned years later that depending on the chemistry some water based finishes can hold up better than a precat lacquer and some conversion varnishes because they have no active solvents in them making their film much harder to soften. Hey Eric I'm painting my Chinese dark stained I think ruber tree wood kitchen cabinets im a above average do it your selfer guy I'm using a graco airless what products would you recommend? I have watched all your videos big help but to much to choose from..lol....help please thanks

Have to try to put clear water base lacquer over water clear base laquer sealer??? someone toll me that water base lacquer does not sticks to oil base lacquer.

How well does the Kem Aqua Plus spray ... does it need to be thinned with anything? Is this product the same thing which would be clear over stained cabinets versus painted cabinets?

Is this a real thing you’re doing? Why don’t you grab some denatured alcohol and rub it on both you’ll get the opposite effect. That’s how water-based and solvent-based Finishes work. Nail polish remover will fuck up any lacquer finish or oil or solvent-based.
