I stayed awake for 9 days straight and I only did it using orange pop and will power. I did it for a job I was working at that was open 24/7. I was only supposed to do it for 24 hours straight but nobody realized I never went home. When I finally did go home, I went to sleep for an hour. My gf woke me up because she wanted burger king so I drove the 4 miles to get it. I went through the drive thru, pulled around to the window, paid and then fell asleep waiting for the food. The drive thru worker woke me up, gave me the food and I left. The second I pulled out of the parking lot I got stopped at the red light and started hallucinating giant spiders everywhere. They ranged in different sizes between Scottish terrier dogs to the size of houses. I got the green light and drove slowly through the intersection and the spiders disappeared only to reappear about a block further down the road. Everytime I got close they disappeared and reappeared up to the point where I got back to my neighborhood. Then I started hallucinating people walking in front of me where I thought I ran over someone. I got out to check and nobody was there. I kept hallucinating that I was running over people but everytime I checked nobody was there. I finally made it home and told my gf that I'm going to sleep and not to wake me up but to watch the news all day and if there's a report of someone getting ran over that was the only time to wake me up. I told her what I saw and I wasn't even sure if I hit someone or not. I slept for 14 hours straight and fortunately I didn't hit anyone on my home.

I still saw my nightmares while awake 😭 they were so terrifying, I would scream and mentally breakdown in public. it was the worst

now... I haven't had nightmares for a year even if I watched something that would give a normal person nightmares right before bed! 😄

Before I was drug free (12 years clean) I once was up for 3 days “punching Stones” aka smoking crack, on the 3rd day I caught myself falling asleep as I was crossing the street, falling into weird micro dreams, I actually micro dreamed that I finished crossing the street but was actually standing in the middle of the road 😦 I then ran into one of my hooker friends who brought me to her apartment and made me go to sleep … drugs are a hell of a thing …

But as I said before I’m 12 years Clean and have a beautiful wife and family (7 year old daughter and 1.5 year old son) and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful I got outta living like that
