What do you think about drinking tap water? 💦

Here in India, never make the mistake of drinking tap water. Although the water _is_ purified before coming into houses, it still becomes contaminated from all the pipes and containers. Every house has a water filter for drinking water.

In the south of England water can be fairly ‘hard’ (meaning it contains more limestone I believe), but it’s completely safe!! Water elsewhere in the U.K. is softer, which means that soap will get more bubbly and stuff. I feel very grateful to live somewhere where tap water is safe to drink. Loving seeing your content while here in the U.K.!

In the EU, tap water is actually more "pure" than bottled water because of the regulations

in Germany tapwater is really clean! I used to not like the taste of it but these days I've come to enjoy it a lot.

Me, a person who lives in Mexico: no. We tried it once and my whole family was bedridden and vomiting. Lots of toilet trips- I'll stick to buying it 😭

I'm British and have drunk tap water straight from the tap my whole life. It's not something I even think about. Now as an adult I know that's a privilege many people all over the world don't have.

Here in India, almost every household has a water filter and we also use earthen pots to store filtered water. Earthen pots are natural water coolers which are not so effective in summer 😂.

I'm from finland and it is extremely safe. Generally where-ever in skandinavia you are it is really safe and really tasty :)

Its definitely safe to drink! Sometimes though it can have a taste; minerals might get in from pipes or the water's source. So filtered water is good too! Personally I have one on my kitchen faucet for drinking/cooking, because my water can taste metallic.

Different places in the UK have different tasting tap water! I live in South London and the water tastes cloroxy 🤢 - I always use the Brita filter at home and it's much better (and cheaper and better for the environment).
Definitely go to Harrogate Yorkshire for the best tasting tap water though 👌

From Denmark: Yup, I always drink the tap water here. Denmark has a LOT of very clean underground water so there’s no danger in drinking the tap water (unless you’re specifically told not to, of course).
It actually takes less than an hour to drive from where I live, to the town where most of our bottled water comes from. So fun fact! If you live in that town, you’d be drinking water bottle grade water straight from the tap.

Here in southern Ontario, the tap water is pretty clean so I used to drink from it all the time. We got a new fridge with a water dispenser so I mainly drink from that now, but I'm still fine with tap water (though I also need to trust that the sink's faucet is cleaned regularly) I'll drink tap water over bottled water any day, though. Bottled water always tastes weird, no matter the brand.

New Mexico where I lived had extremely hard water. My parents had a reverse osmosis system installed that we used for cooking, drinking, pet water/fish tanks. In the 80's there were actual "water stores" with trough sinks & hoses. Bring your own gallon or 5 gallon containers & fill up, 25 cents a gallon.
I'm in NC now & use a Pur water pitcher.

In the uk and in Holland it's oke to drink tabwater, cause it's super clean! But whenever we travle to other European countries from the Netherlands it's recommended to not drink from the tab due to a differences in ph and water hardness (calcium)

I live here in Milwaukee Wisconsin in the Midwest and despite some of the horror stories concerning the tap water, I feel the water is safe to drink....and I drink alot of feel there's nothing wrong with it because of upgrades to the whole purification process...

As a Brit, I have drank pretty much exclusively tap water my entire life. I've only seen water filter jugs in shops for the past 5 years or so (maybe less) it's definitely something that's come across from America.

I’m a Welsh water gal for seven years and loving it! That being said, I’ve grown up drinking tap water wherever I’ve lived so never really bothered me.
