The JKD kid had a good stance and form, he just needed to close the gap. When fighting a TKD person you can't let them kick

I believe that the best way to beat a Taekwondo fighter is to bridge the gap between them. The closer you are the less they can generate power for the kicks. I mean am I right or am I wrong

The JKD should've brought the fight to close distance, where JKD obviously is in advantage against Taekwondo. In a kicking competition like this is obvious he'd be in dsavantage

that's not JKD. JKD is a complete way of combat. JKD is not only kicks...that guy did not applayed JKD....

The real meaning of martial arts is "Honestly Expressing your self"

I am a Taekwondoin (and Hapkidoin). And yes, we love the distance, and we love kicking :-))) Taekwondo also has many good hand- and boxing-techniques, but in many schools this is forgotten, because of the rules of the sports competition. I think, the JKD fighter was very slow and frightend. And the Taekwondoin has much more experience. I agree, it is not a matter of the style, JKD is a very effective style. Itis always a matter of th fighting skills and experience.

Those 2 gays there were incredibly bad. The tkd gay couldn't even stand well, 'she' fell 2 times while the other didn't even touch 'her'. And for the one called jeet kune do, why didn't 'she' stick to the tkd gay and punch or wrestle? If 'she' had done that, the tkd gay couldn't have kept attacking and soon would have been knocked out. In my opinion, even a 13 year-old girl who have practiced boxing for 1 month can defeat both of those gays.

The taekwondo fighter is very experienced from the ease of his kicks. The other fighter looks inexperienced so I think good on him for stepping up.

Wasn't Bruce Lees great kicks from Taekwondo ?  Which is part of JKD anyway. TWD kicks are amazing to watch.

Rules are a barrier. A real fight has no whistles to stop fight

The TKD guy totally whooped the JKD guy. Sure enough, all the JKD people are raging - saying that JDK guy wasn't doing it right. How predictable.

I have heard rumors that there is a man who aspires to become the first martial arts action star and singer. He is of Spaniard and Mexican descent. His vision is to change entertainment and create opportunities for the Latin people and immigration. Many say he is very fast when he strikes whether it be a kick or a punch. He also loves Bruce Lee and aspires to advance Jeet Kune Do into his own fighting art. Many say he is a handsome guy full of energy and a big heart. He goes by the name of "Kenji Lucian".

There is a problem that if when someone fighting. If when you start a fight don't imitiate somebody's style. Use your own style and don't think about which move is we perform next. Just fight man just fight just fight as a cool guy. We must make our fighting is like a cool water.

you give a dictance for kicker, thats end.

My master says the most common mistake in sparing is looseing focus leading to mindless strikes and sloppy form. I see the logic in trying to be faster but to sacrifice so much form you loose balance and fall down would be game over in a real fight

He needs to close the distance, and use JKD trapping.
