Of all the things they could do to make melee more viable is doing everything EXCEPT pure damage buff.

I'd disagree with it making axe sharpener useless. Most people don't know about another change which is shrink being -50 damage instead of -100. 2 axe sharpener while being tiny will do 200 damage, combined with arena will make it deadly combo that I will be using myself.
