The 2025 Genesis G80 3.5T Sport Is A Next Level Luxury Sedan With Lexus Killer Vibes

The original #HyundaiGenesis sedan continues to be one of the underdogs in the midsize executive luxury sedan class and for 2025, the latest #GenesisG80 gets slight tweaks that bring it even closer to all of its European rivals. The #G80Sport is currently the top spec of the latest #Genesis #G80 and while it lacks some of the high-performance edge you might find in a BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Audi, what the G80 offers is essentially a modern day version of the old Lexus GS with lots of tech and luxury to appease shoppers looking for a traditional luxury sedan.

Genesis has VERY quickly become my favorite brand. I love that they are still embracing sedans!

The Genesis G80 is a sweet ride! It’s got that luxury vibe with a really smooth performance. The interior is super nice, with all the tech you could want.

the good part is that even the steering matching the interior color, very vintage vibe and shows how much attention hyundai is paying to its cars

Genesis is rising to the top, and they are the most stylish vehicles on the road today

Honestly with me complaining how expensive cars have gotten this one is eqsily worth the $78k. This thing is gorgeous and that interior is stunning. I got to check out the interior at the L.A auto show and honestly nothing comes even close to the interior quality at this price point.

Genesis became what Lexus could have been if they actually tried

Why do I continue to watch cars I’ll never afford. Lust is a hell of a drug.

Oh man this red is perfect for a luxury car

LS500 f sport red looks a little cheesy being bright but a deeper red like this is perfecto

FYI in case you wasn't aware, Genesis did an OTA update on previous Model years and you no longer have to wire in for CARPLAY or Android Auto as well as FULL Screen Carplay and Android Auto

I have been driving these cars for almost 10 years (15 5.0, 18 3.3T, and 23 3.5T) and the brand continues to impress me. I was in a 14 Lexus IS350 F-Sport before my first Genesis sedan and made the switch because the GS was not updated and was going away. Fuel economy is a big con for me and I've been sucking it up all this time but I'm hoping they offer the rumored hybrid in this model soon. I love the 3.5T but unless they offer it with the e-sc, this 3.5T will probably be my last. I'm also considering the G80 Electrified but I wish they offered that with a sportier package or performance variant.

The trunk is tiny but they make a “wagon” variant. It’s the GV80. This is probably one of the best looking production vehicles since the 1965 Riviera GS.

Anyone else tired of modern vehicles with instrument panel looking like someone just slapped a laptop screen onto their dashboards? Everything looks integrated except for the big screen that looks like an afterthought. I wish this trend would go away.

13:12 "Although it's not heated on the actual door panels..." As opposed to the un-actual door panels? LOL

One sweet ride.... But that PRICE. good GOD.

We do need more vehicles like it. LEXUS GET ON IT.

I'm disappointed with how the screen is integrated into the instrument panel. It looks like it was an afterthought. However, I love the brand as I own a 2024 G70 sport prestige.

Where are we rushing to where hp and speed is always the deciding factor on if a car is good or not? I had a m850i and I never got a chance to use the power. Highways are getting more and more crowded. And when you do find a nice empty road. The troopers are hiding and waiting.

Lexus is not in competition with Genesis; instead, Genesis has established itself as a leader in the luxury automotive industry.

The brand is dedicated to transforming the luxury vehicle landscape, taking on established competitors such as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, while explicitly stating that it does not consider Lexus, Acura, or Infiniti as rivals.

Love my 2023 G70. Planning on getting the Magma G80 if those ever release

Great review and I agree with you on the cooled seats, that should be standard all around in a vehicle of this caliber. Hope to see some of these updates come to the G70😊
