I use the Stylebook app so I can instantly look up what's in my closet by color or item. Eliminates having... lots of pink sweaters. I find going in knowing exactly what I need - a pair of white shorts - or - long skirts - and stick to just that, it keeps me from being overwhelmed or impulse shopping. Or, other days, I simply quick scan for color-texture-pattern-shine for items that would blend with the rest of my wardrobe. I tend to keep items of clothing for decades, so, I have to love it!

There's this one thrift store that I've been shopping at for the past couple of years because they have a huge selection of clothing and crafting supplies. They also have a lot of other things, but their furniture is usually not that great. There's another thrift store a few miles farther away that has really great furniture but so-so clothing selection. BUT, I just went to Goodwill just about a mile away from my house and I was so impressed by their clothing selection for women and men. I asked my husband if he wanted me to look for anything for him. He asked me to get him some junky T-shirts that he could wear at work and not worry about getting paint on them. I couldn't find anything of poor quality there, so I just bought him a couple of good-quality plain T-shirts. I hadn't gone to that thrift store because my husband, for some reason said a couple of years ago that it was a bad one. I just went on a whim today and now that's going to be my go-to place from now on. :D

So, the moral of the story is to check out all of the thrift stores in your area because you will probably be pleasantly surprised.
