I agree with a few of the comments here already regarding using the word "thrifting." Buying expensive vintage pieces, shopping at antique malls, even finding pieces online is a form of buying secondhand but I wouldn't call it thrifting. The word "thrift" specifically means being careful/frugal with your money and every object she talks about is over $50 and into the multi-hundred dollar range. I frequent my local thrift shops multiple times a week and there is not a piece of secondhand furniture in my house that cost more than $25. The video is fun to watch still, I just wish it was titled differently. Like "How to find unique vintage pieces like a pro" because then you're not implying they were necessarily affordable or randomly discovered at a local charity shop. This is definitely not "Thrifting 101" lol.

Just here to agree with nah nah and others that buying through Facebook Marketplace, swap meets, etc is not thrifting. This is just buying (expensive) vintage.

While I have a different taste in home décor, I love how she keeps on theme and the amazing colorful items she brought! It looks like she has been doing this for years and I applaud her for finding home décor that suits her taste in a eco-friendly way! Your home looks lovely Katie. ❤❤

I’ve only just recently hopped on the FacebookMarketplace train and it’s been treating me good. I still prefer the thrill of the hunt in actual thrift shops but as it’s still secondhand everything’s good for me ;-) BTW Such a great style and home!

Check out Laura Caldwell’s videos for thrifting. She also picked up a marble statue recently for just a few bucks.

Nice content but not really about thrifting.

So do you offer higher to win an item on Marketplace?

Too many comments are arguing the point that She's not a thrifter. She is. She just happens to spend her money on statement pieces. Many of you probably spend the SAME amount of money but only on lots of cheap small items. So Folks ... you do You and she will buy what works for her. Remember its ALL Used stuff!

I don't want to go back to the 80's. And I wonder if she's ever been in an actual thrift store.

Vintage shopping, and buying used (ie off facebook market place) is not thrifting! I wish people would stop saying they thrifted things when they really just bought them off facebook marketplace!

Fun video and very cool home but it's not thrifting :) Just because something is secondhand doesn't mean it's thrifted. Regardless, I love her style!
