I would tell my FIL he better start enjoying life with his wealth before it’s too late and he would talk about how it would be nice to go on a trip with the grandkids. We came to live near him two years ago and he had a stroke and passed a week after we got to his state. He left behind a large amount of money and never did anything to enjoy life. Only worked. I think about him often and how sad it is that he wouldn’t allow himself to enjoy his hard work. Now it’s too late

As a retiree with no debt, and stock option income I can do pretty much anything I want without touching the principle. We always lived within our means, saved and invested. It’s very liberating.

I don't have this much money. But I have this problem. People ask me to go on vacation etc, I have it but always find a way to say no. What if what if.

I'm like this. I'm doing pretty well financially but I was raised to live within my means and it's hard to actually spend and enjoy what I've earned. The funny thing is I also use a credit card for most of my purchases and Dave says that will make me spend more. 😂

I would recommend finding a church or another charitable organization that does great stuff in the community (feeding hungry people, school supplies for poor kids, coat drive, addressing homelessness and give them $1000 or more. Best way to enjoy your money.

Me 😞 when buying something for myself it takes shop around for the best price and after 2 or 3 weeks of thinking if I should buy it I don't get it.
