Or, maybe, just maybe, the vast majority of Victoria 2 players wanted the fun transition from EU like warfare to HOI like how it is done in Vicky 2, especially multiplayer...You know, like was suggested by just about everyone until paradox made the announcement of "Lol, lmao, AI wars only."

The only thing this reductive ad hominin assault against anyone who disagrees with you does is paint you and your argument in a bad light. Especially when there's a fuck ton of other problems with the game's core mechanics like diplomacy, war goals, trade, the economy, and most importantly the AI.

or you just dont like having 20 frontlines in africa and the ai switching their troops from front to front every second its so annoying when a frontline splits and you either have to reassing your general or lose land. Its also shit when you are fighting a huge war and have to send 20 units to deal with the 4 of the nativ uprising. It is still a lot of micro just micro which is way less fun

I like to watch my generals stand and mean mug each other while numbers increase and a moving slider might switch directions. Better than before when all you would see is two rows of individual units positioned on opposite sides of each other taking damage based on the stats of the unit on the other side. The quirky facials are WAY better.

I really liked the war system in victoria 2, and the way it went from large armies seeking each other out to wide fronts pushing against each other as technology increased. That would have been nice to see again. Instead we just got a weird system that gives you next to no control and leaves it up to quite bad AI to make all the decisions. I wouldn't mind if war was just a thing on the side, but they built it in as an essential part of the game.

alternatively it's people who think that that a doomstack should take precedent in the conflict over subjects and puppets who are sending single battalion armies en masse and drawing out the war exhaustion. Better yet, it's those other people who disagree with embarking onto a sea node to travel up a coastline rather than marching through the territory a state and a half away.

This was the first thing ive seen from you. Bad first impression. Its an objective truth the war system sucks and the game shoukdnt have been released like it was.

Its a grand strategy game under no circumstance should war be AI driven. Its a video game. Not real life.

Player autonomy is a big aspect in these games and when you take it away players do not enjoy it. That's not to say it doesn't have roleplay purposes but in these games having perfect control of a lot of aspects of your country and then having one aspect be completely up to the AI is very annoying. Ck3 would be very different game if my military just did whatever whenever I declared a war
