There is also another easy way to do it - you can just paste this formula into the cell next to the phone numbers. If the phone number is in cell B2 the formula is like this:

=HYPERLINK("callto:"&SUBSTITUTE(B2, " ", ""))

-make sure phone numbers include (+country code)
-this formula will also automatically remove excess "spaces" in the phone numbers

The cell with the formula will turn into a Skype Click-to-call hyperlink...

Just wanted to update my comment...I actually got mine to work with my computer without having to upgrade my system or my Excel program. There is actually a Skype toolbar you can download for Excel that works with Windows 7 and Excel 2007. All you have to do is get the toolbar, then format the numbers into Phone Numbers (highlight all cells to be formatted then right click>format cells>special>phone numbers>ok) Then on the toolbar there is a "Create Skype Links" button, (Highlight all numbers you want to call before clicking) This should turn all the numbers into Skype hyperlinks, then you just click to call. Its not technically an "autodialer" but it still works better for me than hand dialing each number. Hope this helps!

Wanted to add a couple things. If you are using IE11 and windows 8.1 you have to select in excel, special formatting then phone number for the phone number column and save as Web Single file web page

at 2:41  you click on "how it Works" and the excel column propagates with Skype links

what happened when you went to that tab. . when i try it nothing gets a Skype link

Just so everyone knows, if you have anything older than Windows 7 on the computer you are using this method on, it will not work. For Skype's Click To Call feature to work, you must have Windows 7 or newer. This could be why some people can't get their spreadsheets to become clickable when saved as a web page.

I am having difficulty getting the links. I've saved as Single file web page but the numbers did not convert. Is there a setting in Skype that I'm missung?

Great tutorial… my question is can you also play a prompt reading info from a excel sheet? For example I have a hair salon and I need to call my customer to remind them that they have an appointment tomorrow at this time. Is this possible?

for the links to be shown on the webpage my numbers had to be formatted like this (xxx)xxx-xxxx. On excel click very top of the column where your phone numbers are located. This will highlight all of the numbers. Make sure the phone numbers are formatted as "numbers" and not "text". Then while all numbers are highlighted, right click then go to format cells. Under the "number tab" look down to "special" then under "type" click Phone number. Finally click ok. I saved my data as a web page.htm and it worked perfectly.
