Volvo Key Fob Battery Replacement - EASY DIY

Here is a quick and easy demonstration video on how to change out the battery in your volvo key fob. This process requires a little finesse but overall isn't too difficult. The key is to have a larger and a smaller screwdriver. Once you have that and slide both halves of the fob cover off, it's pretty straight forward. Volvo Key Fob Not Working?
If your Volvo key fob is not working correctly, it most likely needs a new battery. Modern electronic key fobs offer superior convenience and functionality compared to a standard manual key. Over time though, the battery in your key fob will run out of charge and need to be replaced.

Excellent video, just what I needed. After five years everything in the key fob is stiff and won't move, so you don't know whether you should be pushing, pulling, twisting or lifting, because nothing seems to work. Seeing it done for real is the only way and you set it out step by step for us to copy.

Thanks for the helpful video. Just a word of warning when you insert the new battery. I've done it before and this time I was in a hurry. So when I either took out the old battery or inserted the new one, I managed to damage the holder. As you can see, there are three small plastic knobs holding the battery and I broke the two of them. This means a new key 😓
