Ukraine in urgent need of more arms, US and NATO say, as Russia ramps up offensive

Ukraine has urgent requirements in terms of more military aid, United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said on Tuesday, as he also reaffirmed that the United States and NATO allies in general were there to support Ukraine over the long haul.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reaffirmed that NATO had to ensure Ukraine got the weapons it needed "to win this war," and that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not preparing for peace but instead "preparing for more war."nato

Meanwhile, the Kremlin said on Tuesday that the U.S.-led NATO military alliance demonstrated its hostility towards Russia every day, and was becoming more and more involved in the conflict in Ukraine.

With the first anniversary of the invasion approaching, Russia has intensified operations across a broad area of southern and eastern Ukraine and a big new offensive has been widely anticipated.

Stoltenberg is a very inspiring speaker. Every time he opens his opens his mouth, Ukraine get weapons and money. it seems despite his best of efforts, it is not enough for Ukraine. It is burning through more weapons than western arms dealers could supply. Weapon industry is such as lucrative business.

I feel sorry for Russia. 50 countries are supplying weapons and money to Ukraine. One would expected that it will crumble very soon. I think it is already, judging by the many positive assessment from the British intelligence.
