Ukraine to declare state of emergency ahead of potential conflict with Russia

The Ukrainian government is preparing for the worst-case scenario with Russian forces seen advancing toward the battlefields of the separatist regions in eastern Ukraine. CBS News senior foreign correspondent Charlie D'Agata spoke to people in Ukraine and visited a tank factory that may be a target in a full-scale invasion.

This is a problem. In the early 1990’s, Ukraine agreed to hand over any & all nuclear weapons they had from the days they were part of the USSR. If they kept them then this would be leverage they can use from such hostile takeovers by Putin’s army. Ukraine agreed to NATO’s request to hand them over with agreement that these NATO countries will help protect

My family lived and fought in ww2 against and nazis in Ukraine and remember the violence and death that came with it and they don’t want a new war because we still haven’t gotten over it .
