One thing about BMW is that it tried to save some cost when converting a left-hand drive to a right-hand drive. For a supposedly luxury car with a price tag of RM 260k, it could not even be bothered to change the gear lever position. The gear lever is still located on the left of the gear console, the same as in a left-hand drive X1. I wonder if drivers find it natural to stretch their left hand a bit in order to use the gear lever. By right, it should be next to the drivers as it is something that is used in every drive.

I bought this car recently and it was the front end that sold it for me, the new design ius really good, although I do also love the look of the back end too.

Before you buy this vehicle, let me point out the error BMW made in its design. On the front grill area where the radiator is located and slightly visible. Designers should have considered to put a mesh grill cover. Just recently purchased the M35i version, in less than 3 weeks of driving on the freeway to go to work. A rock punctured the radiator, took it to BMW for service and unfortunately it is not covered on their warranty. Hefty service price to pay 😏

9:43 You can deactivate the auto-stop by changing D to L at least I can do that in my 2023 X1 but yes mine doesn't have the wheel shifters that's why is either D or L not D or 5. Maybe that is why I can deactivate auto-stop with L

I’ve been super satisfied with my previous BMWs and just ordered an X2 to replace my previous generation X1. The X2 doesn’t look any better than the new X1, it still looks like a Toyota with a BMW grill stuck on, but at least it looks less like an SUV, and we don’t need the higher roofline. If it was up to me they they would still export the station wagons to the US and I would be driving a successor to my beloved old 328 wagon.

Got this car for ten months, 20i, 170 hp, sdrive. Many options. Full black, 19" wheels. Wonderful car. One bad thing: the car is really stiff, really!

I am a bit concerned about the floating centre armrest design. If a small child, say a 3 year old, climbs there to go to the back or just sits there (while parking / waiting in the car etc), can it hold the weight of a small child? If it breaks, i imagine it will cost a bomb to replace.
