My old reference 290 held me over after my powercolor red dragon vega56 randomly died in september, The 290 held me over until the release of the 6800 which thank God&Jesus my prayers were answered and I got 1 luckly from scan on launch day (arrived a couple of days later)
290 was still great at 1080p in 2020

How do i get the display port activated? it shows up on bootup, but then it goes away.

These were beastly cards, I've ran one for 6 years, still pulls 60fps or more in 1080p on modern titles. Power hungry, but very capable and they cost peanuts. I've $600 set aside for a new card... but cant get one for all the tea in China, also really wanted AMD to do better in the whole ray tracing field but rasterisation performance is very decent indeed. Just too damned expensive and no stock.

Also, purple today, very nice.

Which Radeon software did you install for the r9 290? Every time I try to install drivers, I get a black screen until I wipe again with DDU.

Can you please make a review for G6400 in Shadowlands? Previous version G5400 was doing pretty well in raids quality 10 1080p getting 70+fps.
