It was so joyful to see Anthony say "MY SAVES!"

Anthony realizing he still has almost 30 year old save, and panicking because he realizes they'll disappear any day now if he doesn't get them off of the card is really endearing. I can't imagine if I booted up my original Pokemon Red and my save was still there (wherever that cart ended up, I haven't seen it in.... well, over 20 years now)

Would genuinely love to watch Anthony play retro games while doing commentary on everything. Please make it happen and give the people what we want!

"Responsible Analog Stick"
Yeah, it's a good example for all the other little controls pads, it doesn't drink and drive or use other kinds of drugs.

I love Anthony. He's so down to earth and nerdy but he's himself, he never forces cheesy marketing down our throats and he gives genuine advice that can help poor people save money and still enjoy high tech. He's not uppity like some of the other folks and he's 100% genuine. I can see why everyone likes Anthony.

Thinking of Anthony and his sister playing N64 on Christmas is the cutest thing I can think of right now.

For several games like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, you can actually "dual-wield" two N64 controllers, effectively giving you two separate analog sticks. Not the most comfortable for button placement, but it allowed for two thumb sticks at once for a few games that benefitted from it.

Not sure if Anthony noticed this but the time when the N64 reset itself is when he plug in the wireless adapter with the memory pack connected. The time when the N64 didn't reset itself is when he plug in the wireless adapter without the memory pack. This means the memory pack is the cause of the reset, either by design to read the saves or faulty capacitor from the power draw.

I want a show called "Antonyms" where Anthony just does Anthony - with older/different tech.

Anthony just hinted at a RetroTINK 5x Pro review, yes!

Love the atmosphere of this vid. Feels like hanging out with the boys.

While Diddy Kong Racing does support memory cards, the saves for the main progress in Adventure mode are actually stored on the game cartridge. The memory card is used to store ghosts for time trials.

N64 controller that can be operated with 2 hands
Nintendo: Wait, that's illegal

the whole video: smooth and hd

the plastic of the controller: we're in the 20's now, film grain time

I vaguely remember having a rumble pak/memory pak combo unit, I think it was made by a company called performance, had a toggle switch on it where you selected either save/rumble and another for low rumble/high rumble when prompted to on screen. It was a big, heavy chunk of plastic, but an awesome accessory back in the day.

It's really crazy to me that there's so few fighting games on the N64 considering the controller had a perfect 6-button layout.
