Is South Korea the Safest Country in the World?

Have you ever been to South Korea? After living there for 2 years, and traveling all over the country, I can safely tell you that it is the safest country in the world! The only other countries that come close are Japan and Taiwan! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below about this - do you also agree that Korea is the safest country in the world?

I moved to Korea 6 months ago from the US where I was born and raised. During my time in the the US, my house was broken into twice, car was broken into, mom’s car was stolen, wife’s car was broken into, parents were robbed 4 times at their business... Before all the “sounds like you lived in a bad area” comments, I lived in a quiet suburb in Southern California... supposedly one of the “safest” in Los Angeles County. The safest between Korea and US in terms of crime is incomparable in my opinion...

I totally agree because on our family trip to South Korea dec 2017. My aunt left her 2 luggage and a hand-carry at the incheon airport after 2hrs it was still there, where we left it. Beautiful county, beautiful people.

Once I was at a coffe shop in Daegu, a city in the south of SK, and I had my backpack with my laptop in it. I left the coffee shop and I completely forgot about the backpack, I went to get my hair cut and only after the haircut I realized about my bag. I came back to the coffee shop, about two hours later, and there it was, my bag, untouched, in the exact same place I forgot it. I think nobody even thought that somebody had left it behind or thought of the possibility to take it with them, I'm sure most people saw the bag on that spot and just tought "somebody is sitting there", and that's that. One of my many stories about how safe SK is. I lived in that country for 4 years, amazing experience overall.

When I lived here for a year studying, I would sit in the cafes and watch people leaving from their tables for over an hour or two and just leave their laptops and books and everything (maybe they went to eat? I never knew) and nobody ever took their stuff. I must have looked paranoid packing up my stuff just to go to the bathroom and come back after only a minute lol

Korea went from extreme poverty to model country in less than 2 generations, without bombing or enslaving any country through debt, funny policies etc.
Their culture and values, respect. Good food and fashion. They are doing it right. Or should i say they are doing it cleaner.
I have a lot of respect for this nation and its people.

Also, Drew Binsky's channel is one of my favorite, so underrated. Gr8 job. I cant recommend this channel enough.
