Yellowstone tied this perfectly into the episode! I don’t listen to country and this is the first time I’ve heard of Zach. Love it! Totally a fan now!

This is possibly one of the best songs written in decades. I think it's damn sure the best Zach has released. Nearly every lyric in it has a double meaning that relates to the other parts of the song. Some people just hear it though, without actually listening. I had to unwrap it for my wife and a few other friends who are first just didn't understand it. Below is how I explained it.

Breaking it down, in the first part he sets the scene, it's nighttime, they are on or near a fresh cut lawn on what's possibly the 4th of July. Kids are playing with sparklers, so there's a party, the sky is filled with fireworks.. Her eyes are big and reflective enough it makes it look like they are on fire. She says we'll never die, ( IE we are young, and there's nothing that can stop us) She grabs his hands, letting him know she's digging him. As callus and broken as he is, she either doesn't know or doesn't care. His hands are also callused, this man works for a living.

Next part. blue jeans in the driveway is people leaving the party, she comes inside and she's drunk, but it's a cute and kind drunk. he's drunk and she asks him to stay and he says he will, but he's sleeping on the floor.
Then the line that is plain and simple, I am tired of being used, for a night or fun, or for my money, or for whatever...just tell me you need me. I'm worth more than a night on the town. Everyone wants to be needed. Everyone..and no one wants to be used.
Then what is to me a direct reference to one of the greatest love/redemption songs of all time. Hallelujah, I awoke to kitchen smoke, you dancing like God's moved in you before. Listen to Hallelujah by Cohen and tell me that's not what this is. If Zach told me it wasn't I still wouldn't believe him, lol.

Then the chorus Good I'll do x3 . Going to do her right, going to do right by her, going to be a better person. I'm new x3 he's new to her, she doesn't know his past, he can start new, and is going change his ways goin forward.

Now the music swells, there's a heavy Bass beat, drums kick in the song speeds up without actually changing time.

Next verse. He's not afraid of what his emotions are telling him, and he's not going to bury his feelings., then she comes to him and he's ready and waiting.
sundress, I'll undress, with nails on your skin turning white. He strips her and himself bare, physically and emotionally and then he holds on tight. Grab something in your hands and watch the color of your fingernails as you press the blood out of them.
High and drunk are also duel metaphors, high on life, drunk on love, Austin, Tennessee, wherever she's at is where he belongs, but also as long as they are together they can be apart, he's out being faithful while he is working.

The boys down town are always Zach's closest friends, the are mentioned as assholes in some songs, and mentioned as only those who understand him best. They talk shit because he's a changed man but they are happy for his new love.

Someone who brings out the best in us. Great line, and so far, my favorite song on the album.
