As I battle with alcoholism, depression and PTSD while I await help from the VA this song hurts but helps. It’s just different when it says “ you’re drinking everything to ease your mind, but when the hell are you gonna ease mine” it reminds me that I have a gorgeous, loving and caring wife that helps me fight through my battles. I have a different appreciation for this song.

Ain't much to remember cos he was usually busy drinking but one day my dad took me and my brother out for the day, an unheard of gesture. He didn't say much, but we sat down at a park bench and he took an apple out and split it with his pocket knife and gave us each a half. As stupid as it sounds that is a memory I'll always cherish.
I stopped drinking 18 days ago so I can offer my daughter more memories than a split apple
