The second panel discussion during Research Ethics Day 2024 featured Geeta Krishna Swamy, MD, Haywood Brown, MD, Distinguished Professor of Women’s Health, Vice Dean for Scientific Integrity at Duke University School of Medicine; and Associate Vice President for Research at Duke University; and L. Michelle Bennett, PhD, CEO and Principal with LMBennett Consulting, LLC. The session was moderated by Kimberly Kirkpatrick, PhD, Associate Vice President for Research & Innovation, University of Minnesota.

"Building Partnerships to Advance Ethical Research: Collaborators, Communities & Companies" brought together interdisciplinary experts to discuss how to build partnerships with investigators, communities, clinical research professionals, and companies to promote the ethical conduct and translation of research. National leaders explored successes and challenges in a wide range of research programs and considered the elements of successful collaboration that promote research integrity, inclusivity, mutual respect, and accountability in the conduct of research.
