if you want the leather clothes you are wearing not to rot on you, you must necessarily tan them. The tanning process can be done with natural substances, but these perform the same function that "chemical agents" have.

I will never forget this sheep skin carpet we had when i was a child in Palestine.... nothing like that soft white sheep skin i stg it's a small carpet but i loved the feel the smell everything about it felt comfortable... because it was natural. Out of all things I got from the big corporations to wear or decorate my home...that is the one thing that stuck with me until this day... It's interesting.

everything is chemicals. Water is a chemical. What makes something dangerous is not whether it is a "chemical, " (which, again, everything is) nor does its origin decide its danger or toxicity. What makes a chemical dangerous is its chemistry, what form it is in, ita dosage, how it interacts with the cells in our body, what our body does with it, etc.

Modern clothing technology is actually borderline magic now considering how much it has improved. Seriously, for the right price you can get any sort of performance you would want, and also make lower quality clothes that may be worse but allow people to actually afford them.

Fast fashion creates a lot of textile waste that is leaching chemicals into t.e ground. Quality clothes made of natural fibers with safe dyes are expensive but last a long time!
