Little Rocket Man was more tedious than hard. That was until the chopper chase section. It didn't help that I did it on the hard difficulty. I almost lost my mind when I found out you had to close the door on the rocket for it to count. Good thing I kept a manual save just in case.

Finishing all the "vidmaster" achievements back in halo so i could get the flaming helmet in halo 3. Those odst achievements were a btch

If you want a challenge that I know you won't get is the tough as nails achievement in the game called brink

The hardest one of the three is the rarest specimen.

But for me, Pepperoni precipitation in black mesa is the hardest one, because this frickin' box has a bad collision, and the hardest part for this achievement is chapter 17 interloper. This achivement is harder than rare or the rarest specimen, 'cause as I mentioned before the box has collision while you are standing on top of it, and it sometimes disappears, clips through every possible texture, and the most importantly, is that I can't pick it up in very closed areas while I am standing on it, like the vent in bm_c2a5g. Sometimes because of that I am getting softlocked, and having to restart from the latest autosave. WHEN I REALISED, that I could use console commands to spawn a prop, and change it's classname...

Rare specimen overall isn't that hard:

Chapter 3: Unforeseen Consequences

Find a hat, and run like hell.

Chapter 4: Office Complex

Leave a hat in the areas you will return to, and carefully jump onto the ladder to the next chapter.

Chapter 5: "We've Got Hostiles"

Leave a hat near a silo door and proceed with the level.

Chapter 6: Blast Pit

On the first level of the chapter, skip the tram ride, leave a hat in the tentacle room, on the last level run and swim like hell.

Chapter 7: Power Up

Leave a hat in quarter open gate, where 3 trams are hiding and proceed with the chapter.

Chapter 8: On A Rail

Drop a hat in the direction your tram will go to, and quickly pick it up. Do it for the rest of the chapter.

Chapter 9: Apprehension

Do not use yellow big fast tram, kill all hecu's, andjump in the waters, get the crossbow, throw a hat in the door you will go to, come with it into the trap room.

Chapter 10: Residue Processing

Run, crouch, and swim like hell.

Chapter 11: Questionable Ethics

Leave the hat in the main room, and proceed with the chapter.

Chapter 12: Surface Tension

Get the hat through the drainage pipe, run like hell, leave a hat, destroy a helicopter, tank and a light tank, get the hivehand, save Jackson, run like hell, leave a hat and get the guard to open a lambda door, kill gargantua.

Chapter 13: "Forget About Freeman, we are cutting off our losses, and pulling out. Anyone left down there now is on his own. Repeat, if you are not already... what, oh sh*t NO, NO NO NO *boom*"

Run through drainage system like hell, destroy a tank, run like hell.

Chapter 14: Lambda Core

Leave a hat in the beginning of the assasin room, kill assasins, return to the hat, acquire the gluon gun, leave a hat near a scientist, that wants you to hurry up, flood the core, get into the laser lab, get through teleportation labs, jump into xen.

Rarest specimen is a bit harder:

Chapter 15: Xen

Find a hat and run like hell. Juggle hat and cyanogen canister like an idiot, without putting a hat on, run and juggle like hell, leave cyanogen canister and a hat in the main teleporter room, activate the teleporter, throw a gas canister and a hat into the teleporter.

Chapter 16: Gonarch's Lair

Scare the Gonarch, juggle two props like an idiot, send gas canister to the second battle arena, run like hell with the hat, kill Gonarch with the cyanogen and jump like hell.

Chapter 17: Interloper

Leave a hat, run like hell, leave a hat, jump like hell, shoot controllers, repeat.

Chapter 18: Nihilanth

Kill Nihilanth.

Chapter 19: Endgame

Acquire the rarest specimen.



Pepperoni precipitiation

All chapters from 11 to 19

Leave a pizza, smack it with the crowbar, get frustrated, repeat.




Or you can cheat using ingame console commands to spawn a prop on a needed map, get all of your weapons and a suit, run like hell, kill Nihilanth.

I had the most fun with the pepperoni precipitation, the rarest specimen, the plan and little astronaut in hl2ep2 (I didn't have fun at all, these achievements truly are the worst, but I will rank each one of them by 10 point system, 10 being the hardest, 0 being the easiest).

The plan and unquestionably ethical: 2.5 - 10
A little astronaut: 4 - 10
Rare Specimen: 5 - 10
Rarest specimen: 7.5 - 10
Pepperoni precipitation: 11 - 10

The little rocket man achievement was easy for me, I completed it on my first playthrough of Half-life 2: episode 2 lol

Mastermind on GTA 5 was the hardest for me. Having to do all 25 Heist missions on the highest difficulty with the same team with nobody dying was so stressful.

For a second I thought that "Little Rocket Man" was the achievement that they gave you when Nasa sent the gnome to space.

7 day survivor on Dead Rising I’d say is still the hardest achievement. Not just cuz it’s hard but the fact it’s so easy to lose focus and get bored and die from not eating food. I’m glad I got this achievement done and over with shortly after going for the 100%
