I think it is easier to catch multiple fishes and duplicate them. Then you can fill your inventory with fishes, finish a quest and then restart the day until you have 200 quests finished

easier way: make a journey mode character. get the angler. For every quest he gives, fish two and research both, then duplicate it and hand it in. Set the day to midnight then midday, he will have a new quest. Eventually, you will have all the fish he can possibly ask for and you can do a quest in under 10 seconds. Took me 4 hours total to go from 22 to 200 quests. i got all the fish around 80 and it took an hour to finish from there

This also works if you just change your name slightly every time. Ex. “(Name)x1-(Name)x200”. Then you don’t have to create a new character and go into a chest every time

I used journey mode too, except as I was slowly trying to build what I quote unquote called “the hub” I was just simply building different fishing spots for different quest fish. Found it super fun honestly.

Honestly if you're doing journey mode just do the fun option and actually go fishing and collect the quest fish It is so satisfying at the end where you're able to ask him for a quest and then just pull into your duplication menu so that you can just give it to him right then and there

It's even funnier when he acts like you took way too long to get it to him

You could just fill your inventory so the quest fish falls to the ground. Get about 10 this way. Plop a chest down to store them. Repeat for all fish. Turn in the fish in record time the next time he asks.

alternatively get all the fish for duping and then just skip between midnight and noon with one of each in your inv and turn them in until he asks for one he already got then restock

There’s a map on the steam workshop that I used for a good chunk of them. Life saver, helped me get the components I needed for my shellphone.

You don't have to even make a new character you can just put all the fish in your inventory leave change your characters name go back in and click quest again

I have a trick on that, first make 15 worlds and characters. Use every 15 characters on one world and fish 15 times after that repeat on the other worlds until you finish 15 worlds that's already 225 FISHING QUESTS!!
