Yes I just uploaded this but I spelled "Who's" as "Whose" and the thought of going through life being reminded of bad grammar was just too much to handle. If you liked the first one, could u likey this one too? #Thanks

I just want to say, thank you Mr. Hughes, because since watching your channel and the videos you posted (and post), I've shed my apathy towards politics. I've become so interested in the moving pieces of government, and I'm 15 years removed from high school. But you're never too old to learn something new :) thanks again

Very good video - but I think it's also worth noting the numerous governor and state legislature races in the country. Isn't it the state legislatures who determine the boundaries of districts when they will draw them again after the 2020 census?

Voting - in ALL elections matter.

You say Trump is not very popular. According to what pollsters, the same that said Hillary had a 97% chance of winning the presidential election?

I'm an Aussie trying to understand WTF is up with your political system. This channel is amazing. So helpful. But the one thing I have realised since 2016, is I was very wrong to admire the USA as a functional democracy. Makes me appreciate our political system a lot more (but still with room for improvement by us).

I don't think approvals mean what they used to. People haven't said "I'll give that guy a chance" Trump started with a very low approval of about +3 quickly going negative.

It's 4 years later from when you posted this video. I wonder how the democrats are liking their choice now? We as citizens have to ban together now and move this country in a different direction because it's going to hell at warp speed. I've been reading & researching why it matters if I vote in midterm elections. I've never voted in mid term elections so, I'm educating myself to find out what they are. I'm going to look up who's running and research what they stand for- I'm going to vote!

At this point, most accept the fact that the House is probably going to go flip. The Democrats have the energized base, and as I'm sure you know, the turnout for African American voters is exceptional in Alabama, an amazing trend for Democrats. In previous years, especially in the 2016 election, African Americans in the inner cities did not vote in large enough numbers. The combination of an energized base, large turnout, and Trump's approval ratings, makes me feel the Democrats get the House. However, I do not think it is possible for the Dems to take control of the Senate. Even in a +11 Democrat national environment, it will be difficult for them to hold on to West Virginia and Montana. And if they even lose those 2, it is very unlikley they will take the Senate.
