Schofield running across the field is one of the greatest movie scenes I've ever experienced

Love how war movies are being done in a way that isn’t focusing on the fights/shooting. Like Dunkirk, the human element is a main focus and pulls you in.

The fact that George MacKay isn't being nominated for an oscar for best acting is nothing short of insulting. That was some of the best acting I've seen in years.

The build up with the officers giving instructions to the soldiers really brought out the realism in this sequence.

The part where he hits another soldier and falls down and the camera keeps moving and he's falling back into the distance and has to run to catch back up just shows the urgency and the terror of what's happening, nothing is stopping this, nothing is waiting for him to get back up, it's all happening anyway and every single man that runs across his field of vision is another man dead because he didn't get there in time.


It's the most powerful scene in the most powerful film in decades.

I just saw this in IMAX, in my opinion this stands at the top of the war movie's, along with Dunkirk and Saving Private Ryan.
