Everytime I play this song, this version I think again and again about my grandfather and my granduncle: the first fought since the beginning of italian front in 1915 and captured, seeing the conclusion of WWI in an austrian detemption camp. He survived. The second lived the last two tragic years of the war, fighting in final battles when my great country was about to be defeated. I think also to a far cousin of my family, killed in battle during april 1918. Italian front was basilar to the alliance's victory and the most important among the mediterranean war theatre. Honor to my family, yours and all WWI soldiers.
