Wii Mini isn't permanently offline anymore, there's a new hack for it that allows you to use the USB LAN Adapter and other homebrew stuff

The thing that gets me about the Wii mini is the lack of component video cable support. This is a must for flat screen TVs, as they have to deinterlace and create display lag, and also the quality isn't as good.

I never use Wi Fi on my Wii so I don't mind it :P

I still own my (working) Wii. Despite having a Switch, I still get lots of enjoyment out of it. Besides, the games are very cheap (Around 6$ at most) and I even had it when it came out (2006). AND, I got a lot of nostalgia for the thing, despite being underpowered.
