First Wii: Stands upright.
Second Wii: Stands on side.
Wii Mini: Stands in the bargain bin.

Didn't even know there was more than one version.

I think this is one of those rare cases where a older model is the better model (also the older dvd drives are golden as they can actually play dvd’s with homebrew)

I owned the one with the GameCube support and I've had it for so many years and I literally still play it to this day!

Never really realized this until now, but calling vertical and horizintal "hamburger and hotdog" is the most stereotypical American thing I've ever heard lmao

I use to have an OG Wii from back in the day in amazing condition condition. After my house burnt I kind of lost it. I since got a replacement but my absurdly massive game collection as a kid at the time is no more.

I was so high that I thought it said "How much Wii did you have?" expecting a meme 💀

I remember owning the Wii as a kid and discovering the gamecube controller ports. I took my brother's copy of the Resident Evil Remake and almost immediately cheesed myself knowing I had access to gamecube games. What a time

My upright Wii is still in a marvelous state, I love that hunk of junk (affectionate) with my very soul

First version. I grew up poor and had to mow lawns to be able to pay half of the price. My mom put in the other half as a birthday/Christmas present. Me and my brother went to circuit city to wait in line as the wii came out. It was such a surreal experience and one I’ll never forget. We couldn’t afford any other game system. We were the 5th people in line, and the people after us had a whole setup where they hooked into the outlets. We played halo with them and what not. I’ll never forget waiting overnight. Simpler times.

I found my first wii a few days ago, i got it sometime between 2007-2009, its in rough shape but still works, I only have 2 of my old discs but neither of them works, one is scratched to hell and the others in good condition, neither of them will read though so i may have to replace my disc reader. Im happy to have found it though.

R.I.P. NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, (3)DS family, Gameboy family. Unfortunately, Nintendo is tired of making new consoles

My Wii is still hooked up to my tv, got it the day it launched, I slept in a tent outside Kmart to be first in line. So many good times with that machine.

I have the launch one, still complete in the box, with all its manuals and packaging. Even though I'm aware that using it as much as I do will ruin its value in the long run, it is amazing to relive the awesome memories I made as a child playing on the Family Edition Wii that we always stood upright... Definitely was a mistake when our cousin came over and knocked it off the TV table. The Wii Mini though is still such an odd model.

I have a Wii Mini that I recently rediscovered after it had been abandoned in the closet for like 7 years.
