IGN News - Wii Mini Coming to Retail Stores in the US

Nintendo has announced that Wii Mini, a more affordable version of their successful Wii console, is coming to the US retail stores in mid November.

True it is rare when a game for the wii online works well with little to no lag.

It was weird to release this in the first place. The Wii U had just come out, it's even weirder to release it now, the Wii U has been out for over a year and a lot of people own one.

They had ready released the Wii Mini in Canada like a year ago they just decided to release here in the US too its not like they are just creating the wii mini right now.

That makes sense, i guess they are seeing how much profit they can still get. hopefully that will be put in good use for future wii u games.

it's going to either pop up an error that reads, this portion of the game is not accessible on this console. or no internet connection can be found.

The thing about these third party games for the Wii U is that they don't get a lot of support. Like ACIV: BF, most of the DLCs will not come to the Wii U. Not sure about the other games, but whenever someone mentions Wii U, it's a big shocker that it even exists at times.

The major difference, however, is this:

I'm sure we've had this in the UK too for years. I don't know who would even want to buy this version? Surely it would make more sense to buy a second hand Wii for probably half the price.

Nintendo needs to get their act together.. They're strong in the handheld area, but their console marketing has been a huge flaw this past year. Wii U's aren't selling, they need to re-release it to the public in a way.

the wii mini was made for countries that couldn't afford the wii but after it got released officially(ages ago) the people liked the design and were asking nintendo to bring the wii mini to the developed countries only for collecting purposes i know several dozen guys who will buy this just for collectiom

Mario Kart Wii for a Wii that doesn't have Internet connection is a really stupid idea for a pack-in game unless they're making subtle hints that they're discontinuing Internet service for the Wii entirely.
