I'm not a painter, I'm a carpenter, but when I was helping out a painter on a job I was told when the roll starts making that sound that this does after the 4th stroke it's because there's not enough paint on it, and it will be clearly visible after it dries

Ive tried painting as a subcontractor for my homie who needed to finish a job quickly. With 0 experience i watched tons of videos. Work around outlets with the roller and use a hand brush for finer detail. But boy let me tell you. Getting that even coat is definitely a skill and can be frustrating when things dont go your way. I respect painters

will always find white little dots that you missed in the Deep spots or the texture you just have to wait till the paint dries and look really close from different angles, so if you want it to last and you wanted to look good you need it at least two coats no matter what kind of work paint a lot of times you can get away with white-on-white or using the same colors but if it's a different color like that definitely need two coats
