Skyward Sword was my first Zelda game so it holds a special place in my heart. Happened to see the case at Walmart and thought "Yep, that looks sick." One of the best gaming choices I ever made

I remember people saying that only new zelda fans have their fav game being totk... and then there's my dad who played the original zelda when he grew up and he loved totk.

My favorite is a link between worlds because it was the first game that taught me to appreciate a good Zelda dungeon. I’ll never forget the pure joy I got every time I solved a tricky puzzle or finally found that last damn mai mai. The flexible dungeon order allowed me to move on whenever I got really stuck, which wasn’t very often but definitely made a difference as someone who will often drop games indefinitely when they hit too large a roadblock. Even now, having played every Zelda game I could get my hands on (damn u spirit tracks I’ll get u one day), a link between worlds stands out to me as almost the pinnacle of what classic Zelda can be. I know it’s not a popular or well known game, as far as Zelda games go, but i will stand by it as long as I live.

As someone whose favourites are BotW and TotK, I just love the open world formula.
Lots of freedom to do what I want, lots of places to explore, a nearly unending amount of chaos I can unleash with a great amount of tools and combinations for my chaotic shenenigans; in what other game could I build a bomb launching roomba with automatic aim to terrorise a camp of my enemies?
