500g Fish fillets (cod, basa, haddock, catfish or sole fillets)
Ingredients for paste:
Onion 2 medium chopped
Ginger 1" chopped
Garlic 5-6 nos
Cumins 1/2 tsp
Other Ingredients:
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves 15-20 nos
Green chillies 3nos chopped
Tomato puree 2-3 tbsp
Turmeric 1/2tsp
Chilli powder 2tsp
Coconut milk 1 cup (250ml)
White vinegar 2tsp
How to:
• Cut fish fillets into pieces, apply salt and keep aside.
• Make a fine paste on onion, ginger, garlic and cumin.
• Heat 3-4 tbsp oil in a pan/Kadai add mustard, curry leaves and green chillies, and saute for about 30sec.
• add onion paste and saute until it's dry and turns darker in colour.
• add turmeric, chilli powder and salt to taste with a splash of water.
• add coconut milk mix well and bring it to boil then add fish and give a gentle stir.
• Cover and cook for about 10mins or until the fish is cooked on low heat.
♥ enjoy with white rice
